02 — How it works

Four steps to a licence in your hand.

Start step one
Driver's view of a Bengaluru arterial road with cars and two-wheelers ahead in daytime traffic
Step three happens on roads exactly like this one.
  1. Walk in or call

Ten minutes at the GM Palya office. We check your documents, tell you the total cost including RTO fees, and pick your slot.

  2. Learner's Licence

We fill the form, book your LL test slot and prep you on the signboard questions.

  3. Lessons

Quiet stretches near GM Palya first — controls, clutch, mirrors — then real traffic, at the hour you will actually be driving.

  4. DL test & licence

Practice on the RTO test track, then the test itself with an instructor alongside. Your licence reaches you by post.

03 — Training

Two vehicles, two very different sets of nerves.

A learner's hands resting on a car steering wheel with the other hand on the gear lever

Four-wheeler

Every car student starts in a dual-control vehicle — the instructor has a brake and a clutch too, so nothing you do in the first week can go wrong.

  • Clutch, gears and biting point until it is muscle memory
  • Parallel, reverse and tight-gap parking
  • Flyover merges, U-turns and unmarked junctions

Two-wheeler

Most students think balance is the hard part. It is not — slow-speed control is, and that is what the RTO track tests and what saves you in stop-start traffic.

  • Gearless first if you prefer, then gear for MCWG
  • Figure-of-eight and the ramp, as the RTO lays it out
  • Helmet and a marked training bike provided

04 — Why VS Motor

The instructor's job is to be boring.

No shouting, no grabbing the wheel, no surprise. We would rather repeat a session than sign you off on a skill you have not got.

  • Same instructor throughout. No reintroducing yourself every week.
  • Fixed, written fees. The number you were quoted is the number you pay.
  • Documents handled here. Forms filled at our desk, slots booked by us.
  • Progress you can see. Every session logged in your student portal.

05 — Licence & RTO

The paperwork is the part people dread. It is the part we do.

A driving school practice track marked with lanes and orange cones, with a training bus parked alongside
Track practice before the test — cones, lanes and the reversing bay.
An examiner with a clipboard seated beside a candidate at the start of a driving test
The DL test itself, with someone from VS Motor alongside.

What to bring on day one

  • Aadhaar card (original + one photocopy)
  • Address proof for Bengaluru if your Aadhaar is from elsewhere
  • Four passport-size photographs
  • Form 1A medical certificate, only if you are over 40

Not sure what you have is enough? Send a photo on WhatsApp before you travel — chat with us.

06 — Questions

Asked at our desk almost every week.

If yours is not here, call 99801 00050.

I have never sat in the driver's seat. Is that a problem?

It is the most common way to start. The first sessions happen on quiet roads with the instructor's dual controls ready.

How long does the whole thing take?

About six to eight weeks for the car course. The gap is fixed by law: a Driving Licence can only be applied for 30 days after your Learner's Licence is issued.

Are RTO fees included in the course price?

No — government fees are paid to the RTO directly. We tell you the exact amount before you enrol so there is no surprise.

What if I fail the driving test?

You retake it. We re-book the slot and give you extra track practice; only the government's re-test fee applies.

Can I learn on an automatic car?

Yes, but an LMV licence obtained in an automatic is restricted to automatics. Most students learn manual for that reason.

07 — Enquire

Tell us three things and we will call you back.

Your name, your number, and what you want to learn.
